These terms cover the Lovefed app and the lovefed.app website. Using either means you accept them.

What Lovefed is

Lovefed tells you whether a food is generally considered safe for a dog or a cat, and adjusts that answer for the breed and health conditions you enter. It is general information, assembled with care and kept honest, but it cannot examine your animal.

What Lovefed is not

• It is not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a prescription diet
• It does not replace a consultation with a veterinarian
• It cannot account for medication, pregnancy, surgery, or anything else your vet knows about your animal
• It is not an emergency service

If you think your pet has eaten something dangerous, contact a veterinarian or a pet poison helpline immediately. Do not wait, and do not rely on this app to decide whether it is serious.

Accuracy

We work hard to keep the information correct and to say plainly when something is uncertain or disputed. Even so, it may contain mistakes, it may be out of date, and it does not cover every food, ingredient, breed or condition. Product recipes change without notice. Barcode lookups come from a community-maintained open database that we do not control.

You use the information at your own risk and you remain responsible for what you feed your animal.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Lovefed and its maker are not liable for any loss, injury, illness or expense arising from use of the app or the website, including anything that follows from information that turns out to be incomplete or wrong. Lovefed is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind.

Some places do not allow these limits to be excluded, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Subscriptions

• Lovefed is free to use. Every food answer, the label reader and feeding reminders are free, for one dog and one cat.
• Lovefed Plus is an optional paid subscription offered through the App Store and Google Play.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or your Google account when you confirm the purchase.
• It renews automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID account settings or in Google Play. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us.
• If prices change, existing subscribers are told in advance.

Using it fairly

Do not copy the food and ingredient data to build a competing product, resell access to the app, or try to break, overload or reverse engineer it. The content, name and design belong to the maker of Lovefed.

Changes and ending

These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them, and continuing to use Lovefed means accepting the new version. The app or any part of it may be changed or withdrawn. You can stop using it at any time by deleting it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.
