Privacy policy

Lovefed is made by one person. This policy says what the app and the website do with information, in plain words.
The short version
Lovefed has no accounts and no logins. Your pets' names, breeds, weights, birthdays, health conditions and feeding times are stored on your own device and are never sent to us. We do not sell anything about you, because we do not have anything about you to sell.
What stays on your device
- Every pet profile you create, including health conditions and allergies
- Your feeding reminder times
- Whether you have a subscription
This lives in the app's own storage on your phone. Deleting the app deletes it. We cannot read it, recover it, or move it to another phone for you.
The camera
The app asks for camera access only to read a barcode. Nothing is photographed, saved or uploaded. The camera is off unless the scanning screen is open.
What leaves your device
One thing. When you scan a barcode, that number is sent to Open Pet Food Facts, a free open database, to look up the product's ingredient list. The barcode is all that is sent. Nothing identifies you or your pet.
No tracking, no analytics, no advertising
The app contains no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers and no crash reporting that identifies you. Nobody is told that you opened the app or what you looked up.
The website
lovefed.app is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and traffic counting. The site asks you for nothing: no sign-up, no email address, no analytics and no cookies of our own.
The feedback form
If you choose to send feedback, that form is run by Tally and we receive whatever you type in it, including an email address if you give one. We use it to decide what to build and to tell you when the app launches, if you asked. We do not pass it to anyone else.
Payment
If you subscribe, Apple or Google handles the payment. We never see your card details, your name or your billing address. We are told only whether a subscription is active.
Children
Lovefed is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Because we hold nothing about you, there is nothing for us to show you or delete. If you have sent feedback and want it removed, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the app will say so.
